Educational Animation Project - LCSD
This animation project produced for a literary events named “文學101”, which is initiated by the Hong Kong Public Library. It aims to promote literary knowledge and foster the development of literature among the public. Through engaging storytelling and vibrant visuals, we combine both themes, literature and travel together. Our tour named “字遊旅行團” educates the public the history and culture of 6 countries through a vitural tour.
In the project, I participated in both pre-production and post-production. Included doing research and deciding the visual style, drafting the logo, and participating in the video shooting stage. I was involved mainly in the post-production part which included video editing, animation, drawing, audio editing and final quality check.
Personal Video Works
This short video was a creative classwork to demonstrate the editing skills. The story was inspired by the poetry of Hsia Yu named 'The Disappeared Images'. I incorporate the ideas from the original poem and recreate it as a video. Taking the idea of deconstructing the Chinese word ‘elephant’ into different images, I used the ‘Kaleidoscope’ as my topic. Making use of its characteristics, the changing forms, and shapes, breaking images into small pieces, I focus on the theme ‘the memory’ to tell the story. In the end, the main character found a solution to the question posed in the beginning.
